:briefcase: The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, versatile Commercial Litigation Paralegal who can confidently move between complex litigation, discovery, contracts, corporate matters, real estate matters, and other legal projects.

This is not a purely administrative or process-focused position. You will personally draft substantive legal documents, review agreements, identify potential issues, manage discovery, and help move matters forward from both transactional and litigation perspectives.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.

:bar_chart: What You'll Do
Complex Litigation & Drafting
  • Support complex commercial litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution.
  • Personally draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, contracts, agreements, and other substantive legal documents.
  • Review contracts, agreements, and case materials to identify relevant facts, issues, risks, and required follow-up.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support litigation strategy, filings, and other legal projects.
  • Assist with hearing, deposition, mediation, and trial preparation as needed.

Discovery & Document Management

  • Manage discovery processes involving large volumes of documents, deadlines, productions, and follow-up items.
  • Collect, review, organize, and prepare documents for production.
  • Maintain accurate discovery trackers and ensure deadlines and outstanding requests are addressed.
  • Identify missing information, inconsistencies, and deficiencies requiring additional follow-up.
  • Coordinate document collection and discovery responses with internal teams and outside counsel.

Contracts, Corporate & Real Estate Matters

  • Assist with drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Support corporate and entity matters, including organizational and governance documentation.
  • Assist with real estate-related legal matters and documentation as needed.
  • Apply both transactional and litigation perspectives when reviewing agreements and resolving legal issues.

Communication & Coordination

  • Work closely with attorneys, outside counsel, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Communicate priorities, deadlines, risks, and action items clearly and promptly.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Investor Relations, Development, and other teams to gather information and move legal matters forward.
  • Maintain organized and accurate legal files, case materials, contracts, and supporting documentation.

 

:mag_right: What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
  • 5+ years of hands-on paralegal experience, preferably in complex commercial or business litigation.
  • Experience personally drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and other substantive legal documents.
  • Strong discovery experience, including document review, productions, deadlines, and follow-up items.
  • Ability to review agreements, identify legal issues, and determine next steps.
  • Strong legal research, writing, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-moving environment.
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience with Texas state and federal litigation.
  • Exposure to real estate litigation, transactions, or property-related legal matters.
